Property Tax and Assessing Information On-Line

Summer property tax bills are being mailed July 1.  Taxes may be paid without penalty until 5:00pm, September 14, either in person, in the Treasurer's drop box, or by mail.  (Note: postmarks are not accepted as the payment date).  For current tax and assessing info, click on “Links” on the blue toolbar above, then “Pittsfield Township Assessment Data – 2008.” A data screen will pop up. Don’t log in; select “Assessing” or “Current Tax” on the sidebar, then click on “Search” information displayed.

You will find several options to find the property, through address, owner’s name, or parcel number (don’t use punctuation when searching by address – type E for east, not E., and Rd for Road, not Rd.) Taxes due and paid for the past several years will be displayed. Please allow two days after the Township receives a payment to find it posted on the website.

Property tax information can be printed from the website to use in preparation of income taxes. The information is updated daily, and comes directly from the Township’s property tax database, so it is current and accurate. If you require a tax certification printout, please contact the Township Treasurer’s Office at (734) 822-3140 or e-mail treasurer@pittsfieldtwp.org

Taxes that were past due and then paid at the County Treasurer’s Office will still show as unpaid on the Township’s database. If you have any questions about outstanding property taxes shown, please contact the Pittsfield Township Treasurer’s Office at (734) 822-3140, or the Washtenaw County Treasurer’s Office at (734)222-6600 (Washtenaw County’s website is on the “Links” page of this website.). Receipt or proof of payment for past due taxes paid at the County must be obtained from the County.

Please remember that when a property tax bill is sent to a mortgage company, it is still the property owner’s obligation to ensure that payment is made. If you have recently closed an escrow account, it’s important to check to make sure that past taxes have been paid by the due date.

Payments for property taxes or utility bills may be made in person at the Township Treasurer’s Office, or after hours in the Treasurer’s drop box at the Administration Building, 6201 W. Michigan Ave., Ann Arbor MI 48108 (corner of Platt and Michigan Ave.)

Please remember that all payments must be in the Treasurer’s Office by the due date. Postmarks are not accepted. Please feel free to call (734) 822-3140 as often as necessary to check on whether your payment has arrived in the Township Treasurer’s Office. Postmarks will not be accepted as the payment date.
