Pittsfield Charter Twp, Michigan

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has announced a Bemis Road/Platt Road/Willis Road reconstruction and widening project, located in Sections 2, 3, 10 and 11 of York Township, and Sections 34 and 35 of Pittsfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. This project consists of approximately 16,300 feet of road reconstruction and widening, with hot mix asphalt pavement, enclosed storm drainage, and traffic signal installation.  The project areas are Willis Road, from Emerson Drive to Carpenter Road; Platt Road, 1,100 feet south of Willis Road to 600 feet north of Bemis Road; and Bemis Road, 600 feet west of Platt Road to 1,500 feet east of Platt Road; as well as the US-23 north- and southbound ramp terminals.

Construction activities are scheduled to begin on September 4, 2007, and should be completed by August 1, 2008, weather permitting. For more information on this and other Road Commission projects and activities, visit the WCRC website at www.wcroads.org.
