Dear Pittsfield Township Utilities Customer,
Please use the Authorization Form (click here) to sign up for the new automatic debit program to pay for water, sewer, and/or rubbish bills in the Township.
After you apply, your next utilities bill due date will be the first date when the auto debit will occur, as long as you submit your form and voided check 5 days or more before the due date.
If you have a question about the date of the first deduction, or if you don’t know your utilities billing account number, please call our office at (734) 822-3140 and ask to speak to Kris or Ken.
Please check your account a day or two after the due date to make sure the auto debit occurred. If you submitted your form on time but the debit did not go through, we will waive the late fee and you can pay by check, cash, or money order. The auto debit will be in place on the next billing cycle.
Please fill out the form, sign it, and attach a blank, voided check from the account you wish to use for this auto debit program. Be sure to write the word VOID across the check, but leave the routing and bank account numbers at the bottom clear so we can enter the numbers into the automatic debit system.
If the checking account is a joint account, please have both authorized signers sign and date the form.
Mail or bring the form with the voided check attached to the Treasurer’s Office at the address shown on the form, or place in an envelope marked “Utilities Auto Debit” and drop it in the Treasurer’s drop box, which is located in the wall to the right of the entry doors of the Township Administration Building (items placed in the drop box are received the next business day)
