PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES ______________________________________________________________________________ Members Present: Robert Grosshans, Ishwar Naik, Alayna Stagg and Kenneth Brostrom.
Members Absent: Member Resha.
Others Present: Tom Meagher, Glenn Miller, Assistant Planner Jennifer Black, and Recording Secretary Laura Ford.
1.0 Call Meeting to Order/Determination of a Quorum
Chairperson Naik called the meeting to order at 5:42 p.m. A quorum was present.

Motion by Member Grosshans, supported by Member Brostrom, to accept the agenda as presented.

Member Brostrom stated the minutes presented to the Members tonight are the revised minutes. He mentioned the first draft of the minutes were not in good shape. He said the old minutes caused confusion. He said with his corrections he tried to maintain the same content in a form the Judge could read. He said the revised minutes have many pages, and the Members should take time after this meeting to review them. He said he does not see a reason for the Members to read the minutes during the meeting tonight.
Chairperson Naik asked if staff received the court reporters transcript from the previous meeting.
Member Brostrom stated he worked exclusively with the minutes and referred to nothing else. He said if there is a discrepancy between the minutes and the transcripts that was because the recording secretary, for those meetings, may have missed something.
Chairperson Naik stated getting a copy of the court reporters transcripts is important because this is an important issue.
Planner Black stated she takes notes at the meetings, and she compared her notes to the minutes and she feels everything is in the minutes.
Member Brostrom stated he wanted to clarify the minutes and improve the English.
Chairperson Naik stated it would be useful to refer to the transcripts when it comes to specific issues.
Member Brostrom stated he asked Planner Black and Zoning Administrator Spencer to make sure the figures in the minutes were correct.
Member Grosshans asked what the suggestion is for the minutes.
Member Brostrom stated the Members should take the minutes home and incorporate their corrections. He said if changes are incorporated to the revised minutes, a list of those changes can be made, and the Members will then know what was incorporated.
Planner Black stated when correcting the minutes, and incorporating the changes, different fonts can be used.
Motion by Member Grosshans, supported by Member Brostrom, to table this meeting [and action on the minutes] until May 24, 2004.

Motion by Member Grosshans, supported by Member Brostrom, to adjourn the meeting.

Chairperson Naik adjourned the meeting at 5:53 p.m.
