Welcome!
Pittsfield Charter Township’s Department of Public Safety is dedicated to providing the gold standard of Police, Fire and Dispatch services to our residents and businesses, and we hope our website will contribute toward that goal. (View our organizational chart)
Our most important goal is to have open and frequent communication with all our residents and businesses. To that end, we have initiated a community alert and notification system using Nixle.com and the publication of our “Weekly Incident Summary” reports. You can also contact me directly at harshbergerm@pittsfield-mi.gov, Deputy Director Gordon Schick (Police Services) at schickg@pittsfield-mi.gov, or Deputy Director Alan D’Agostino (Fire Services) at dagostinoa@pittsfield-mi.gov.
As part of our community-based policing approach, we are building strong partnerships with residents and businesses to deliver the highest standard of public safety services. In doing so, we maintain an ongoing dialogue through community meetings and presentations that allow for collecting valuable input and feedback that assist us with quick, proactive problem-solving measures. If you would like the new Community Patrol Unit or other Department of Public Safety unit to make a presentation to your neighborhood or business group, please contact me or one of the deputy directors at our email links above.
In the spirit of providing dynamic and timely public safety services, we are constantly evolving to meet your needs, so please stay in touch. We look forward to working with you.
Matt Harshberger,
Director of Public Safety
